Small groups share faith as parishes ‘ARISE Together’

William Delahunt, who represents Weymouth in the U. S. House of Representatives, and Stephen Lynch, who represents Braintree, voted against two versions of an unprecedented Wall Street bailout bill: one that was defeated on Sept. 29 and a revamped $700 billion proposal that passed on Oct. 3 and was signed by President Bush.

The dismantling of Goliath, the largest gantry crane in North America and a long-time Quincy landmark, has resumed, but the investigation of the recent collapse that killed a Weymouth man at the former Fore River Shipyard is continuing.

Autumn’s chill is being felt across the town and it is paving the way for the Great Pumpkin Give-A-Wey by the Weymouth Community Events Committee at town hall on Oct. 18 from 12-4 p.m.

Life is on the upswing for Joanne, a recovering alcoholic and mother of a 21-year-old daughter and 19-year-old son since she had her last drink on April 30.
