Scituate -
Sitting grandly out by the mouth of Scituate Harbor, across from the
lighthouse is Restless, Bob Kingsland's 50 ft. cutter that he created from
the kernel of an idea while laid up in a hospital bed in 1977. Every
creation starts with an idea and where it takes you and how it is
accomplished is what makes the process interesting. Restless was conceived
and created over approximately a thirty year span. Through those years Bob
interwove the making of Restless with, family, work and everything else
involved with living a meaningful life. On Saturday June 16th with great
fanfare and celebration Restless was launched from Scituate Harbor. There
is still work to be done before Restless heads out to sea bound for some
distant land but for Bob Kingsland and his family the journey is long and
beautiful and never ending.
