Town Meeting approves funding to purchase historic home
Norwell -After a lengthy discussion at Town Meeting on Monday night (May 12), Norwell voters approved Article 10, which allows selectmen to use $345,000 of the town’s CPC funding to purchase the Sergeant Samuel Stetson House at 85 Stetson Lane for the purpose of historic preservation.

Town Meeting postpones vote on Right-to-Farm bylaw
Norwell -At Town Meeting on Tuesday night (May 13), Norwell voters considered a Right-to-Farm bylaw that if approved, would have codified by way of bylaw additional rights and protections for the town’s farmers.
After a lengthy discussion on the proposed bylaw, Town Meeting voters backed a motion to indefinitely postpone the article. -
Town Meeting approves pay raise for COA outreach coordinator
Norwell -Heeding neither the advice of the majority of the Norwell Advisory Board nor that of Town Administrator James Boudreau, voters at Town Meeting backed an article that will reclassify the job ranking/level of the outreach coordinator at the council on aging (COA) and therefore boost the salary for the position by $3,300.
