DPW mechanic retires after 64 years
Medfield -George Devenanzi, 82, who retired Dec. 16 after 64 years as a DPW mechanic, would still be working there if his doctor hadn’t told him to take it easy.

Angel Tree rescued from wishes left hanging
Medfield -
This holiday marked the first time in the Angel Tree’s 14-year history that the program did not find takers for all the children’s “wants and needs”.
Fortunately, said Dawn Alcott, director of Medfield Youth Outreach, the requests, represented by paper angels hanging on the Christmas tree at Ben Franklin Bank on North Street, were filled by gift cards from donors.

Girls basketball logs lackluster win
Medfield -Despite a lackluster performance, the Medfield girls basketball team improved to 5-0 with a 60-54 victory over Ashland on Saturday.
Known for their aggressive defense, the Warriors were out of sorts defensively in the first half and collected 17 team fouls. Ashland cashed in on the line and challenged Medfield down to the wire.
