The Phil celebrates the season with its Holiday Pops Concert
PLYMOUTH -“Sleigh Ride” so defines Leroy Anderson that it is featured in his “best of” album’s title. It has a bounce, a rhythm so singular and so catchy that it’s one of those songs that sticks to your brain and hums along inside your head as you go about your holiday way.
The Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra performs its mega-popular Holiday Pops Concert at Memorial Hall next weekend. And Anderson gets some special treatment. After all, the venerable composer would have turned 100 this year.

That first year, friends of the Kearneys bought candles in Sean’s name during the 2006 Festival of Trees fundraiser for Cranberry Hospice.
