    Great Western Road and Lothrop Avenue between Old Main Street and Bells Neck Road will be closed at least through the Memorial Day weekend, Harwich Police Detective Lee Culver, the town’s emergency management director, told the Oracle Tuesday.

    The chairman of the Harwich Golf Committee and two committee members resigned from the group, effective immediately. Selectmen on Monday accepted the resignations of golf chairman Tony Pagliaro and members George Boule and Paul Widegren.

As part of our series, the Harwich Oracle took a quick survey of what some Cape Cod elementary schools are up to. The most common activity seems to be recycling. Students bring all sorts of recyclable containers to lunch, and even in this computer age a school goes through bundles of paper.
