Brookline -

A 24-year-old woman was waiting for the T when a man threatened her with a gun, demanded oral sex, ripped open her blouse and fondled her breasts Sunday night, according to police.

Police said the woman narrowly escaped what could have turned into a more violent attack when the alleged gunman fled as a trolley from the C Line pulled up to the St. Paul Street stop on Beacon Street.

The woman, a Boston University student and new Brookline resident, reportedly told police a Latino man had first approached her at the corner of St. Paul Street and Sewall Avenue at 11:35 p.m. to ask where “a certain high school” was.

“She said that she didn’t know and continued walking toward Beacon Street,” reports stated.

The man allegedly walked Longwood Avenue while the woman waited at the T stop alone, waiting for a friend, police said. But within seven or eight minutes, the Latino man arrived at the stop.

“The Hispanic male was talking on a cell phone. [The woman] felt as if he was pretending to carry on a conversation,” reports stated. “He then said to her, ‘Hi, sexy,’ and was attempting to ‘flirt’ with her.”

According to police, the man “motioned” to his coat pocket and asked the woman, “Do you know what this is?”

He allegedly told her he had a gun and that she had to go with him and perform oral sex on him.

“[She] said that she was not going with him and started to yell,” police said. “The Hispanic male then grabbed at [her], trying to get her to leave with him.”

Although the woman was reportedly able to shove the man, he allegedly “then got mad after she pushed him, and he reached forward and ripped the front of her blouse open, grabbing her breasts.”

The woman, apparently paralyzed with “shock,” was saved by the arrival of an inbound T, which sent the alleged gunman running on St. Paul Street toward Sewall Avenue.

“[A witness] was exiting the train when he saw a Hispanic male running in a full sprint across Beacon Street onto St. Paul Street,” police said. “He then noticed [the woman] standing at the train stop in a frantic state with her shirt ripped open.”

A couple walking on Beacon Street reportedly saw the woman “standing there in a distressed manner with her shirt ripped open,” offered her a sweater and called police.

Police have described the alleged attacker as a Latino male between 18 and 24 years old, 5-foot-7, between 150 and 160 pounds with a thin build and “a small face.”

Reports stated the man has an olive complexion with a goatee and a buzz cut. He was allegedly wearing a dark baseball cap, a puffy fluorescent orange down jacket to his waist and stonewashed jeans.

The woman reportedly told police the man “spoke in ‘hood talk.’ ”
