Retired engineer turns search for Brookline's ‘lost mill’ into fictional tale
Brookline -About five years ago, Brendan Donovan decided to take his research of a mill — the Lost and Forgotten Mill, as he calls it — in a new direction. Instead of piecing history together from land deeds and outdated maps, Donovan began inventing a life for the mill, complete with characters borrowed from Brookline’s real-life history.
