Change does them good
Avon, Mass. -Last week, head coach Karen McCarthy went into desperation mode after watching her softball team suffer four-straight mercy rule losses. McCarthy decided to overhaul her lineup by moving catcher Stephanie Lynch inside the circle, Jess Hines to shortstop, and pulling Megan Hoffman from the starting rotation. The moves paid dividends as Lynch pitched well, while Hines and Hoffman delivered at the plate, in a 14-4 win over Cape Cod Tech last Wednesday (April 30).
